Re: Action at the roundhouse - cn nutbar - 12-21-2017 CNR S2A Mike 3547 has just returned from Lowbanks with a transfer freight train and is being placed in the roundhouse overnight before she heads back out on the road early tomorrow morning Re: Action at the roundhouse - Amalynn - 12-25-2017 Mr. Nutbar, Is there any way you would be able to re-host the photos somewhere so they can be seen? I would love to see them, still Re: Action at the roundhouse - doctorwayne - 12-25-2017 The pictures show just fine for me. Wayne Re: Action at the roundhouse - Amalynn - 12-25-2017 Doctorwayne, Are you talking about the photos from the first several pages of the thread? Re: Action at the roundhouse - doctorwayne - 12-26-2017 Ah, I had forgotten about those. I would think it difficult to even determine what the original picture was. The photos, in most cases, will still be on the photobucket site, and viewable, at least to the person having that account, but it would be difficult to match a particular photo to the symbols which now appear in their place. Don't worry, though: my good friend Mister Nutbar has lots of locomotives and an itchy trigger finger for his camera, so you'll eventually get to see the entire roster. Wayne Re: Action at the roundhouse - cn nutbar - 12-26-2017 Exohead---thanks for the kind words but I cannot restore any previous photobucket photos but as Doctor Wayne suggested I'll attempt to replace them with some '' new and improved " pictures down at the Leetown yard. Doc---I noticed your previous reply posted at 7:45AM hock: did you get up early to do some boxing day shopping or are you still partying from last night Re: Action at the roundhouse - cn nutbar - 12-26-2017 exohead---you previously mentioned you like Mikadoes, they're also my favouite class of steam locomotive especially CNR's.Here's CNR S1G #3513 on the turntable at the James St.roundhouse Re: Action at the roundhouse - doctorwayne - 12-26-2017 Here's the 3377, another of Mister Nutbar's Mikados, at the Lowbanks shops of the Erie Northshore... The Northshore often leases CNR locos from the Leetown Division, as traffic out of Port Maitland is growing rapidly. Here's a different view of the 3513... ...and CNR 3734 at the Lowbanks coaling tower... ...and sister 3736 (a modified Athearn locomotive) on the turntable at Lowbanks... Wayne Re: Action at the roundhouse - Amalynn - 12-26-2017 cn nutbar Wrote:exohead---you previously mentioned you like Mikadoes, they're also my favouite class of steam locomotive especially CNR's.Here's CNR S1G #3513 on the turntable at the James St.roundhouse Mr. Nutbar ~ That is unfortunate, but understandable. I look forward to more awesome photos And yes, Mikados are my favorite. I grew up about an hour from the East Broad Top RR, which had somewhere around 6 or 7 narrow gauge mikes, and ever since I first saw one as a kid, I have been fascinated by them. Re: Action at the roundhouse - Amalynn - 12-26-2017 Doctor Wayne, those are all gorgeous photos, as well Re: Action at the roundhouse - doctorwayne - 12-26-2017 exohead Wrote:Doctor Wayne, those are all gorgeous photos, as well Thanks, but all of them belong to Mister Nutbar, too. The East Broad Top has long been one of my favourites to visit, even when no trains are running... ...but it would be nice to see them running again... Wayne Re: Action at the roundhouse - Amalynn - 12-26-2017 I hope that one day it will run again, but as the shutdown lasts longer and longer, the likelihood of that gets lower and lower :/ Re: Action at the roundhouse - cn nutbar - 12-30-2017 Doc---thanks for posting those photos from Lowbanks, hopefully you have some more.Back at Leetown here is CNR T2A 4100 on the turntable at the James St. terminal Re: Action at the roundhouse - Amalynn - 12-30-2017 Mr. Nutbar, What locomotive is that? I've never seen a 2-10-2 before (that's what it looks like). Re: Action at the roundhouse - cn nutbar - 12-30-2017 Hello exohead---this locomotive is a 2-10-2 "Santa Fe".The CNR designated their 2-10-2's in the T class which were divided into 4 sub-classes---T1 (4000-4044),T2 (4100-4104),T3 (4200-4209) which were ex Boston and Albany USRA 2-10-2's and the T4 series (4300-4332) |
