Good morning folks
It is still cold and windy. Current temperature is 23 with winds that make it feel like 12. High is supposed to be 31. The contractor is removing the cofferdam and since we are right on the river the winds are stronger and very biting.
We had the heater folks out again as the hammering started again. They flushed the system and added a cleaner to the water. They will have to come back out and flush the cleaner out another day.
Yesterday I tried to work on the passenger station platforms, but it turned into a disaster. The stairwells would not go together correctly and when they did they would stay together. Things are so bad I had to reorder another kit.
What happens this weekend depends on if I am working Saturday. We have some heavy-duty cleaning to do for the dining room. We are trying to track down the source of an obnoxious smell. It has been driving us crazy for the last few days. I have to get to the laundry back log. Then there are the normal trips to the pharmacy, grocery store, and perhaps the produce store.
I need to do some organization and get a bunch of rolling stock boxes off the layout so I can begin to work on a different section of the layout. I might start a new building kit. I am leaning toward the REA building. I also want to assemble some more Accurail kits and a couple Walthers kit I recently got off eBay. Of course I want to try to ru some trains.
My son just got endorsed to be one of two Council at Large candidates for our township. He is currently on the township zoning board and has been a committee member and leader for a couple of years now. Not bad for a 26-year-old. The funny thing is when his grandfather saw his school photo back in the 8th grade, he said my son looked like the governor and started using governor as my son’s nickname from then until his passing. The strange thing is that as my father-in-law’s dementia worsened, he still remembered to call his grandson the governor right up until the very end.
I hope everybody has a good day.
