The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #X.. Stop In!!!
Crazy couple of weeks went by in the blink of an eye and money flying out of my wallet.

Had my oldest son, his wife and my granddaughter fly in and stay with us. Things were hectic but manageable until the compressor in my outdoor A/C unit gave up the ghost on the day before we were leaving for the Outer Banks to celebrate my wife's 60th. Vacation with 9 of us and two dogs in the same beach house. Now my wife says we need a vacation from the vacation.

A/C service guy just got our new compressor working, but the system's got to exchange a lot of hot air that's been sitting in this house for more than a week. We're getting ready to make big changes to the system anyway - my builder convinced me into a single system to cover both floors of my house (the second is much smaller) with a couple of dampers, but it's never been adequate in 26 years of service and I'm ready to take a plunge into a re-design to fix what should have been fixed a long time ago. We're fortunate to have a master bedroom on the first floor and we've taken advantage of the coolness of the basement after getting back.

It's hot here on the east coast and traveling on the weekends to and from the beach is no picnic. However, the bride loves the beach, so what she wants on her birthday, she generally gets.

My 2-year-old grandaughter can wreck any piece of technology she gets hold of. No remote, cell phone, or DCC cab is safe. The consist that had been operating without a hitch of my layout just prior to her arrival is fighting itself and I suspect foul play...

Sheetz just opened a new store down the street and I saw unleaded for $2.75 there this morning. I suspect some promotional stuff is going on there since it's about 20 cents more expensive at the other vendors.

The 2-year-old's due back at the middle of this week for another 10 days, so model railroading will be on the back burner.
