Good evening folks

Congratulations, Mikey. That will save you a bundle of cash. Take it from somebody who had to replace their heater last year. I could have bought a fully loaded new car for what I spent on the new heater.

Recovery has been slow and steady I am in the period where if I am not careful I can easily overdo it. The blister on my foot has scapped over. Also, the swelling in my legs and feet is down.

Just when you think it is safe life comes at you in the form of a broken soil pipe from the second-floor bathroom. Apparently has been leaking for a while but it has gotten much worse recently. We had a plumber give us an estimate and they will start repairs in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, the homeowner’s insurance company has sent a water mitigation company to assess the damage and begin drying out the basement and living room/foyer wall on Monday.

The layout got some water spray on one corner. Luckily there is no scenery in this area but very close to the Water Tower Diorama. Some tracks may have gotten wet. This weekend I will be going through stuff and packing it in bins or throwing it out. I can’t believe how much crap I have saved. I am glad I have been reorganizing things and putting stuff in bins. I know the layout may need to move. I am not sure if any will have to be dismantled. I am not sure how long it will be before trains will be running again.

We have some errands to run and I think we will take a trip to the farmers’ market in Wayne.

Tom: we had to have the man in last Friday. We were getting puddles of water under the kitchen sink, fortunately onto a rubber tray -- worst damage was a roll of paper towels.
Turned out that one of the pipes had disconnected from the sink drain. Probably because the pipe was full of yuck. So we had the drains for 2 sinks and the dishwasher replaced. We think they are original to the house, 25 years. Got an talk on what creates the problem -- even includes tea and coffee down the drain.
