Geewiz- that's a scary site!
Looks to me that the EMD's were built with strong noses though. Any idea what happened?

It is hard to tell, with the pic being black and white, but I am sure the EMD unit is painted in the CSX Dark Future livery.

They had the same picture in that three piece article on EMD's "E"'s in Railfan And Railroads magazine I just read.
"E"'s were actually designed to break behind the cab. But I'm sure some pants probably needed a good deep washing also.
