Thank you very much for the kind comments sailormatlac.
Greaty appreciate it.

Now it is the part I am not good at: Waiting for things to dry (glue, paint etc.)
haha!

So the short freight has no light on either end. Not a big deal per see.
Something worth noting however is that it did stop well short of the signal as well.....

Strange?

As far as Francois is concern he did make it home in time for diner..

However Maurice is park somewhat beside the curb and blocking traffic if there was any
which obviously enough there is none at the moment.

It is almost like he is waiting for someone....or something.

Meanwhile our short freight is still idling away..

Maybe the crew do know something afterall. They are on company frequency are they not?
If something of importance was about to happen they would know.

Hard to tell.

However if you do pay close attention, there seems to be some faint noise in
the distance.

Hard to decsribed.

Something not quite "normal".

Maybe this is all specualtion

Maybe not

Nope

I don't see any railfans along the right of way so it can't be a special steam move. 357

Thank you very much modelsof1900! That is very kind. It is all a learning experience for me.
Learning new way along the way. The layout is by no means completed, there is still lots to do
such has scenery etc. however it is getting more presentable as time go by.
Thanks again.

Well it did not take long for the faint noise to get louder.

A unique kind of noise. Whooshing and high pitch noise.
The crew in the cab of the engine knew what they were waiting for

In the distance they could see it:

Bright light, gyra light and a red nose.

It wasn't Rudolph mind you..

And before thye knew it it went by, albeit at a slower speed as it approached Drummondville.

It was indeed the Turbo.

Operated by VIA on behalf of CN (on my layout anyways..) on its way to Montreal with a stop in Drummondville.

Nope

Re: BOeC layout - MLW - 07-28-2015

.

That was the reason Maurice was standing still and waiting. He knew about it as well

[Image: 2015728112818_Lundi%2027%20Drum%20E.jpg]

He must have some inside information since it was not on the schedule, timetable or otherwise. The Turbo was on one of its many trial run between Montreal and Quebec city and back .

[Image: 2015728112610_Lundi%2027%20Drum%20F.jpg]

It slowly came in to a stop at the station with a few people looking in amazement..

Bell ringing it slowly came in to a stop

A unique kind of train it goes without saying

[Image: 2015728115120_Lundi%2027%20Drum%20i.jpg]

Powered by gaz turbine engine which explain it's "distinctive sound"

[Image: 2015728115133_Lundi%2027%20Drum%20J.jpg]

...and looks

Maurice must have been amazed. Its not everyday this train of the future from the past came into town.

All my guesses and I was wrong on all counts. The turbo was a pleasant surprise Applause

Do you have the sound equipped turbo? If so, you could use it in the background for noise from a airport Icon_lol

Thanks PEIR. The turbo is a one-of-a-kind type of train. Yes it sound equipped. Unique sound for sure Goldth

Re: BOeC layout - MLW - 07-31-2015

Yes the Turbo was a surprise in Drummondville.

A Train that has cars reminescent of an aircraft fuselage..

and dual locomotive (Power Dome) that sits high above the engines (Jet Turbine engines) which also
include a lounge with a view. And what a view!

And on that note it left on it's way to Montreal..

The Turbo at Bois D'Arcy crossing, speeding up on it's way to Montreal..

What is this?

That little bizzare blue car/truck/van seems familiar.....I wonder.....

Its occupants are also surprise by the apparance of the Turbo.
For a second it reminded them of the TGV back in their homeland.

Yes we have seen this car before! It's Joe and his sister Zette!
On their way, eventually, to St-Hyacinthe. As confused as before after making a wrong turn
leaving Drummonville station they have ended up in Bois D'Arcy! Sight seeing despite their best effort.

and their adventure continues.....

I wonder if they will ever make it to St-Hyacinthe ?

Speaking of St-Hyacinthe

Charle and Oscar are still confused and upset about what happend to them. The Camper Trailer? A friend of their part-time worker has dropped them off , temporary after coming for a visit. He found out in no un-certain terms that this was not a charitable parking lot. That did not help to calm down Charle at all. Curse

Indeed!

Charle: Come Oscar we are leaving!
Oscar: Why? Where to ?
Charle: I want compensation, I want guarantee !
Oscar: How?
Charle: I think I know who to talk to.We are leaving.
Oscar: Alright then. Where are we going?
Charle: We are going Par 4 Chemin (translation: By many ways)

And away they went!

I wonder what he meant?

Where are they going?

and most importantly, will he get fair compensation for his trouble?
