Nice pic.
Ever since a 1990's cover article in Railroads & Railfan (correct name?) I've been intrigued by RR activity on Delaware Ave.
It was the one with a picture of an ocean liner & switcher on the cover.
Do you have any more pictures of the area? I love port activities.
I was a Vista volunteer in Philly a long time ago, but never did get down there. I did see GG1s pass through North Philly. It was a case of "oh, I guess they DO exist!"

Have some shots of the CP Rail intermodal operation that used to be on Delaware Ave , some shots of parked CP locos, and a CP GP9 pulling some boxcars away from one of the pier warehouses. They won't be posted till January and March.

Southern RR of NJ's GE 44 tonner painted in New York, Ontario and Western colors, 11/6/09, Winslow, NJ. The owner of the SRNJ at this time had several locomotives painted in this scheme.
