Some Matchbox "Collectible" series trucks...very close to HO, about a scale foot too wide on the tractor rear axles. 'Course, anyone who comes near my work with a scale rule is fixin' to get 790_smiley_picking_a_fight ...

Norscott "At Work" - eightyeightfan1 - 02-07-2009

I just picked this up today at Wally-World for $10.00 USD.
Its from Norscott, and is from thier "At Work" line.
It is HO scale, and like the other of Norscott's retail die cast, is lacking in detail(maybe cause Norscott is thinking a lot of these will end up in sandboxes, and not on layouts). Theres only three movemnt points(two on the arm, not the bucket, and the power section rotates 360 degrees, the treads don't roll[again..sandbox]) The weathering is more like paint overspray splatter. With a little more weathering, this (and the rest of the line) would look great.
This will make a good layout scene maker, flat car load, or in trucklovers case, a goose neck load.
For ten bucks...it is well worth it it.

I also want to point out Toys R Us has new hotwheels 1:87 cars out.. course there was only 3 left and didn't peak my interest

Red ferrari F430 with racing decals on it
lime green honda civic tuner car (big wing, big rims stereo speakers all over inside)
brownish red civic tuner same as the other

TRU has them on their website http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... Id=3467444
There are 60 different cars to collect all based on popular real-world makes and models with one or two classic Hot Wheels® castings in the mix.

Re: The "NEW Scale Vehicles " Thread - OBJack - 02-10-2009

Found this the other day, a scratch built Australian made Chamberlain tractor...Circa late 50's
Later taken over by John Deere

We owned one a long time ago, and replaced the 4 cylinder motor with a 5 cylinder Gardiner diesel, combining the flywheels from both motors in the rebuild she would tick over at about 50 rpms at idle. A beautiful piece engineering in its time..

Alas the ravishes of time has taken its toll on the original

Probably G scale or something, but I reckon still pretty cool. 2285_

My newest toy and it is one that I thought I would never find (especially for $10.00)

For those of you that don't know what it is.This is a Walthers Auto Carrier which was hard to find when it was new .I've seen these go for as high as $75.00 on the bay.I paid $10.00 for this one in a local hobbyshop yesterday.
