Oh yeah, It is really beginning to take shape now.

Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 08-11-2009

More work on fan

I had to design a "Center support for the fan, since the framwork would not hold the weight of the blades if i built it all out of balsa.

The support frame is foam, but there's more below

Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 08-11-2009

backup for "foam support" an Erector Set beam - screwed into the foam and holding up the axel of the fan

Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 08-11-2009

Now - to build the blades..... 1 down - 9 more to go!! Eek Eek Eek Eek

Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 08-11-2009

and - then attach said blade to fan support

Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 08-11-2009

Now go back up and look again at the first set of pics... You'll see the fan support, with blade attached - and the erector set beam behiond the "foam' beam Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
