Thanks guys....The fix was a foregone conclusion. There was no way that several months' worth of work was going to be spoiled by a misaligned pilot. I was very heartened by your comments on the loco, and much more so when I found that the fix was going to be relatively simple. What I can't explain is how I missed the misalignment when I was first making the handrails next to the ladders....Tunnel vision I guess...
And, as I said before, it's as good a runner as any of the steamers in my "stable". Guess which loco is now A#1 on my roster..??
