However..
CSX runs a "trash packer" out of Fostoria(Oh) and there's some older covered hoppers being used in that service however,most of the cars in the consist are older Thrall and Beth gons.

The wells in the WCRF piece were the "new" 40' wells made from chopped down 48's.Of course they were tagged pretty good. LOL

It's funny that you're using this method for your buildings. I'm trying the same method for my buildings, although I'm using Google Images and typing in storefront to get results like this http://www.gingkopress.com/ima/store-front-disappear_i1.html.

I think that the vote by the city council will be revisited. NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio wasn't a big fan of former mayor Michael Bloomberg's (aka The Grinch) changes around the city. These gates were installed by business owners almost overnight when the old accordian gates were ripped out by looters during the blackout of 1977 (aka - The Summer of Sam, Son of Sam that is). I typed in "storefront", "small business front", or "small storefront", but try "bodega". It's a convenience store, usually with Hispanic owners that tend to sell more beer than food. The food is usually past the sell by date.
I call Bloomberg The Grinch because my old TV started crapping out around Christmas. The picture had a green tint to it and when Bloomberg came on the TV, he looked like Dr. Seuss's The Grinch.

I have been on a virtual photo shooting trip in Chicago in the area around W. Fulton St / N. Western Ave. this afternoon.
The images have been straightened and raw cut. That is an example for the base material I use to create building fronts.
Do you have a hint how to find those kind of images with Google in the web? The hint with store fronts works perfect but I need this small simple industries.

Looks good. I have been working with my new photo editing software to do the same wall papering technique that Lance has been doing for several years. As a foot note, it appears that Lance Mindheim may be revisiting East Rail possibly next year. His blog includes a new, much enlarged East Rail plan incorporating several new businesses.

The very west end of the layout is currently under construction. I am using the technique from the last smaller building (1/11) to get the Streetview copies (I used one of the fronts made 1/18) and the brick stone wallpaper on a styrene body.

It's a nice little building Reinhard, but what I noticed is the different size brick, the side wall is much bigger than the front. Not sure if that's something to do with the scaling of things etc. Perhaps an N scale pattern would have matched up with the building front better?
Nevertheless it's still a very effective technique and something I'd like to try at some point too!
