RE: Tmo layout addition '24 build challenge - TMo - 02-02-2025 As promised, a) I did eventually finish the work for this challenge (almost 4 months late to the day), and b) some pictures of the completed addition are attached. I've been documenting the progress on my main layout page, so none of this probably comes as a surprise, but I thought it was appropriate to close this thread and put a bow on it. By completing all of the foreground detail between the track and the edge of the layout, I have also finished this side of my duckunder that's devoted to the Black Creek/Hazleton portion of the layout. As with the Mud Run section that was completed about 18 months ago, there's a great sense of accomplishment in bringing your vision forward to the creation of something close to what you had in mind. Although I certainly bit too much off for a 4 month challenge, getting it off the ground and sharing some progress with all of you was all kinds of good pressure. Therefore, I'm up for another challenge if we decide to do it all again in the future. Thanks for all of the encouragement - I've appreciated all of the comments, suggestions and kudos, and I hope that something I've done on this project influences someone else to take on a substantial project. Tmo, I just re-read the entire build thread. You have done a terrific job on this; I admire your perseverance and the patience to do some of those kits. They do look great, and overall everything blends in so very well. Thanks for sharing the whole journey. RE: Tmo layout addition '24 build challenge - TMo - 02-19-2025 Glad to do it, and glad you enjoyed the journey! At least half of the enjoyment I get out of this hobby is being able to share what I've learned - including the fumbles, starts, stops, scraps and what appears to be dead ends. The contest was a good way to set a goal, and I probably wouldn't have been that industrious in the summer months to try to get it finished.
