why is it that trains run well till someone comes to see the trains run then everything that can go wrong happens loke derailments uncoupling at odd spots or a main line switch machine burns out?

I am sorry to say that you are not the only member of the Fickle Finger of Fate Club Huh ....  It really never fails.  Even if you've been running the same train through the same set of switches all day, the moment someone comes down to see your work, derailment.

Gremlins, They've been around since WWII. You can't see them, but they are there!
Happens to all of us

It happens everywhere. I hesitate to let anyone see my trains and if I do I seldom run them.  All that work just to demonstrate derailments does not sit well with me.
