Galen Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 06-15-2009 Nope - never saw it... I haven't bought RMC in years Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ocalicreek - 06-15-2009 If I stumble across it while unpacking I'll be sure and give you the reference. It may or may not help, depending on what you want to do with it. Either way, it's a great structure and I'm looking forward to see what you do with it! Galen Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - Ralph - 06-15-2009 Interesting project Mikey! Any help will be appreciated LOL I'm going to download all the pics of the building soon Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 06-22-2009 I was originally thinking of building the entire complex for all 3 "Fan houses" but after seeing the complete floor plan: http://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/displayPh ... yProfile=0 Measuring over 120 ft on the long side, I thought a 7 foot long model would not be a good thing! I decided then, to build only the Hillman Fan House, that served for ventilation of the Hillman Vein of the coal mines in Wilks-Barre, PA. Shown here: http://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/displayPh ... yProfile=0 Note that it will still end up being a 3 foot X 3 foot X 20 inches tall... This may just take 3 months to complete It's times like this that I wonder if I should switch (again) to O27 tooges: Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - eightyeightfan1 - 06-22-2009 Neat project. Definatly isn't going to be made of plastic. Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 06-22-2009 Wood Balsa, Pine, Balsa and Plastic brickface...

Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - ngauger - 06-24-2009 Floor plan is done For those of yo0u that model the small scales, i included the original drawing in HO (on 8-1/2 X 11 paper) in the lower right corner.. This will end up being 1:20th scale Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - upnick - 06-25-2009 Great build Mikey .... maybe i should have gone for a scratchbuild i love to use plasticard and create something different, look forward to more pics. Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - nachoman - 06-25-2009 Interesting choice of prototype. Don't think I have ever seen one of those before. Re: N Gauger's Scratchbuild '09 Summer Challenge - Lester Perry - 06-25-2009 I am only posting this so I will be notified when you put in an update on your project. |
