Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - FCIN - 07-20-2011 Caught this tacked on the end of NS 215, a Northbound intermodal train in Danville, KY. Any one ever seen this before? Three axle 53 foot trailers, no less. And how about those trucks? These things apparently are operated by Trailer Bridge Inc http://www.trailerbridge.com/ and carry TRBU reporting marks. Couldn't find out anything about them on their web site. Re: Railfanning Norfolk Southern RR - LiveSteamer - 08-02-2011 Great pictures guys. I have never seen three axle trailers on a train before. Thanks for sharing those with us. Has anyone been out lately? I did catch NS CB10 a couple weeks ago running the altoona branch. The only reason i knew it would be there was because before my brother clocked in for work he called me and told me he would be on that train for the day. Once I find the pictures among all the ones I have taken of trains over the past couple weeks I will post them. If you was there should have been a train that arrived there with a set of helpers on the front and rear. My brother was conductor that day. They had a problem when the rear helpers hooked up in conemaugh and they had to stop twice because when they hooked up they broke a knuckle. They had to stop twice because of the problem. They got another set of helpers somewhere outside of conpitt. Not sure where though. Let me know. BTW Great Pictures Guys. Well the other day I did see a Canadian Pacific locomotive leading a NS train through Cresson, Pa. The sad thing is, I did not have my camera with me but my daughter ( araina ) got to see it with me also. Yes my almost 2 year old daughter still loves trains. |
