Industrial Gases - MountainMan - 01-25-2010 What about a facility producing and shipping industrial gases? Re: Industrial Gases - tomustang - 01-25-2010 I'm confused Re: Industrial Gases - Gary S - 01-25-2010 I'm thinking that the Univar Industries that I posted could easily serve as a gas supplier. Re: Industrial Gases - Russ Bellinis - 01-26-2010 I suspect that most industrial gas suppliers are located in an area near refineries. As soon as I mention this, someone will undoubtedly prove me wrong. I know out here in Wilmington where the refineries are located, Linde has a cryogenic plant. When one of the supervisors of the Linde plant gave us a class on cryogenics in preparation for some liguid nitrogen clip on refrigeration units that we were going to start using for one of the container ship lines, he mentioned that they built the plant in the midst of the refineries because they had nitrogen and carbon dioxide plumbed to all of the refineries from the Linde plant for fire suppression in case of an accident. Re: Industrial Gases - tetters - 01-26-2010 A quick search for me revealed that gases like CO2 are pipelined. Although I did find a few Google maps of Dow Chemical sites with rail service with some box cars on the spurs. Re: Industrial Gases - Tyson Rayles - 11-24-2011 Companies like Plaststruct and Evergreen make pretty much everything you would need in the way of pipes and valves and such.
