Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 09-19-2013 Amtrak heading east through Hamilton Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - Charlie B - 09-19-2013 Boy, now you are hijacking trains for something different. I guess it must have a passport or we wouldn't get it back.. That is a great photo. Have fun Ed. Charlie Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 10-09-2013 Autumn is my favourite season for railfanning---cooler sunny days and of course the changing colours of the landscape. Not quite at it's peak as yet, yesterday was still a good day to catch some local action around my hometown Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 10-11-2013 Five AC4400CW's lead a freight west through Kinnear Yard on a beautiful autumn afternoon Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - Charlie B - 10-11-2013 I think our trees are turning faster than yours. It must be all the mild air coming of the lake that keeps yours green. Thanks for posting the pictures. Charlie Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 10-16-2013 Hello again---I've often thought how much railfanning is like fishing ---some days you don't get a bite all day and then all of a sudden the fish start biting .Today was one of those days for me.After a very slow and frustrating morning I was ready to head home when a passenger train finally appeared at Bayview so I thought I'd give it another few minutes---I'm glad I waited---I finally got my quota for the day. Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 10-23-2013 We've been very lucky that Indian Summer has been extended but with the cooler and wet weather, the autumn colours won't last much longer so I took advantage of another nice autumn day to get some pictures. Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - Charlie B - 10-23-2013 Ed, that first picture of the series is just an exceptionally good picture, It stands out. A real great picture. I agree...But the fall colors in the second one gets my vote... Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 10-23-2013 Thanks Charlie and Gus---I appreciate your support Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 10-24-2013 An eastbound freight led by ES44AC 9378 waits at Kinnear Yard for some track work to be completed before it commences it's journey Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 11-05-2013 I was surprised to see some autumn colours still hanging on after the recent wet and windy weather Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - cn nutbar - 11-20-2013 I finally got a chance to do a bit of railfanning---here's some CN action taken at Bayview and Howard Rd. in Aldershot Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - Charlie B - 11-20-2013 Nice pictures Ed. It looks like it was a beautiful day too. There won't be many of them for a while now. Charlie Re: My Hometown---Part 2 - faraway - 11-20-2013 I like the CN low nose geep and the unique cab. Shape and paint scheme are very harmonic. |
