H0n3 modules - WT fan - 12-19-2010

I need a 90 deg corner module. The frame is made from plywood, the core is foam and cork for roadbed. This module is made of two segments.

nice job shaping the foam. What kind of tool are you using?

Re: H0n3 modules - WT fan - 12-20-2010

For shaping the foam I've used a knife (such a type where you can chip the blade) as well as a rasp (together with the vacuum). Smile

Now I've added some type of tile adhesive to the foam. This works like plaster but is adhesive. It has still to dry.

And i've glued PC board ties to the end plates.

The two joker modules have now track.
I've connected the two modules (5 deg and 10 deg curve modules) and glued PC board ties at the end plates. Then I laid track, ME code 55.

Now some work "below" the modules. Wiring.

Next step will be scenery, a start for next year. Wink

Why are these 2 modules so tiny?

Re: H0n3 modules - WT fan - 12-30-2010

If you plan a layout for a certain room you must "get the curve". For the next meeting this layout looks lilke:

or bigger http://www.westportterminal.de/meetings/2011UnnaFeb/layout.GIF

These two modules have only 5 deg and 10 deg. If you incorporate such a module, the rest of the line will swing. The swing depends on the place where you put this tiny module.

Dave,

I believe that these modules are available as modules for Fremo emergency meeting.

Re: H0n3 modules - e-paw - 12-30-2010

What type of electrical connectors are those under the modules? Can you post a more detailed pic of them please?

Here's a link to the dealer: http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/731315/BUeSCHELSTECKER-ROT-AXIALE-BUCHSE/SHOP_AREA_37528&promotionareaSearchDetail=005
and for the female ones http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/734047/EINBAUBUCHSE-BLAU-VOLLISOLIERT/SHOP_AREA_37528&promotionareaSearchDetail=005

Those are 4 mm connectors.

Those modules are for my basement as well:

A first try without those modules, with the current available ones:

I've connected a few modules and have now a small layout. Here's a first video:
