Racoon River Yard - Waldbahner - 01-24-2011 Hello from a newbie, my name is Gerd and I like to show you my latest N-scale shunting puzzle "Racoon River Yard". It's a classic 3-3-5 Inglenook designed for 40' cars and a GP7 as loco. The structures are kitbashed from Pikestuff and Walthers. Fences and billboards are made from strip wood. The "bad" track is old code 80 from Fleischmann. Not the best one, but in the first hours, this layout was started just to switch cars... It wasn't planed to add scenery. Well, as like a runaway train, one thing leads to another and a few days later, the layout was looking like this... I hope you like it anyway and you may enjoy the pictures. There are some more information on my website <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.gerds-modellbahn.de/SOU/index_e.htm">http://www.gerds-modellbahn.de/SOU/index_e.htm</a><!-- m --> The rolling stock is mainly based on Southern equipment. Nice job. Re: Racoon River Yard - Jesso - 01-24-2011 Great looking layout! I love playing on Inglenooks, your's looks not only fun to play on, but to look at! Re: Racoon River Yard - Gary S - 01-24-2011 Very nice. The backdrop buildings blend in very well. Welcome to Big Blue, Gerd! Re: Racoon River Yard - dwight77 - 01-24-2011 Well done, excellent scenery. My club has an Inglenook and a Time Saver on the same N-Scale module. Since it is in DCC, we can run them both at the same time. dwight77 Re: Racoon River Yard - Ralph - 01-24-2011 Welcome Gerd! I like your layout very much. Nice work blending in the backdrop photos and I especially like the track in concrete inside the industry yard. Ralph Re: Racoon River Yard - Sumpter250 - 01-25-2011 And all the better, being in N scale ! To "Big Blue", |
