HO Scale Delorean - Doc Holliday - 02-13-2009 We'll I finally gave up on Reel Rides and finished bashing my 1/87 scale BTTF III Delorean. I started with a Malibu International Lamborguini. and turned it into this. Sorry for the poor pics, I'm trying out a new camera. I had to take artistic license since my thumbs were just too damn big to handle some of the detail but I don't think it turned out too bad. It'll roll along the track just fine but will probably spend most of the time hiding in the Delgado Mine outside what will become Hill Valley. Re: HO Scale Delorean - Bigsteel - 02-13-2009 great job on the delorean ,now you need to try and make the scene in HO with a flame trail and a flash of light where it dissapears .great job--josh Re: HO Scale Delorean - Tom - 02-13-2009 Very VERY good work. That is too cool. I have the time machine in 1/64 scale slot car, and recently gave my entire slot car collection to a firned of the families little boy. I kept the Delorean though. Alicia asked me why, I told her that since Tyco's 4-6-0 is over scale size, that I was going to paint one and put it into a display case with the Delorean with speeder car wheels added. All I can see missing is CA vanity plates that say "OUTTATIME". Again, GREAT work. Re: HO Scale Delorean - Will_Annand - 02-13-2009 Excellent work Doc. Now you have to modify the fuel for the steamer that gets it up to 88MPH. then we will see some serious $ hit... Re: HO Scale Delorean - Tom - 02-13-2009 Lots of movies are "good", some are VERY good. The Back to the Future movies were FUN! I have several reenactor friends that were extras in BTTF III. It's always fun to pick them out of the movie when watching it. Too bad I wasn't into Old West reenacting back then. Re: HO Scale Delorean - LynnB - 02-13-2009 Nice job , Back to the Future Re: HO Scale Delorean - Doc Holliday - 02-13-2009 Tom Wrote:All I can see missing is CA vanity plates that say "OUTTATIME". Thanks for the kind words guys. Tom, Look real close in the rear view pic, it's there, just hard to see because of the scale and crappy photo. Doc Re: HO Scale Delorean - jim currie - 02-13-2009 Doc neat looking . jim Re: HO Scale Delorean - nachoman - 02-13-2009 very nice! Re: HO Scale Delorean - shaygetz - 02-13-2009 Excellent "Let me show you my plan for sending you home. Please excuse the crudity of this model, I didn't have time to build it to scale or to paint it."---Dr. Emmett Brown Re: HO Scale Delorean - eightyeightfan1 - 02-13-2009 Uh...We were just doing a little model railroading.... My favorite of the BTTF movies...Maybe because of the trains? Or maybe it was because ZZ Top was in it...... Looks great! Re: HO Scale Delorean - Ralph - 02-13-2009 Love it! Nicely done! Ralph Re: HO Scale Delorean - Tom - 02-13-2009 eightyeightfan1 Wrote:Uh...We were just doing a little model railroading.... Best line of the movie. My Old West reenacting, non railroading best friend looked over at me when we watched it and said "Doc just invented the first electric train set huh?" "yup". THe "Please exuse the crudity of this model" line always cracked me up too. Re: HO Scale Delorean - nkp_174 - 02-20-2009 Very nice.
