Days like today make me yearn for spring and summer.  Fortunately, through the power of photographs and imagination, we can spend a little time in the sun.

Snowplow Extra 4100 won't have a problem clearing the recent snow drifts on the Stoney Creek Hill

A long time ago steel mills needed taconite to make iron. The Wilderson division is using a borrowed B&LE locomotive to help with the heavy weight.

Robert Wanner is one of my favourite rail photograhers and he often posts his photo collection from the time he spent in Northern Ontario while he served with the US Air Force in the mid 50's.Here's an example taken in Nakina Ontario in 1955:
