Hello again---I was down at the waterfront early this morning hoping to get some shots of the ships under sail (no luck),but without the crowds I was able to get a better picture of the Sorlandet.I did get a bonus shot though as the Douglas Dakota from the Warplane Heritage collection was in the air ( I thought Herc Driver might enjoy this shot )

Great plane pictures....!!! On top of trains, I'm a plane fan as well....

No, the IC unit is not leased, but purchased.....along with the railroad itself.

So...What roads are left after the purchasing, mergers and whatnot of a few years back..??

of course, a lot of these are smaller than the IC was.

In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task.
Most modellers can get two of them to work.

Hi Ed, Once again great photos. We have been drenched with rain the past two days so I have just stayed inside. We did not have the flooding that Toronto had, but it is wet enough. I hope you passed on the Big Blue site to them and I hope they will drop by. I always want to meet folks that are interested in trains.

Canadian National is replacing the Bay St. bridge which was built in 1929---while construction is underway it offers an interesting view of the Stuart St. yard

Great catch Ed, but i think that train deserves the CP 3084. They don't give you any respect.
I am almost getting embarrassed at my favorite spot. I'm getting so well known the engineers are honking the horns and flashing the lights. the lights are OK, but the neighbors may start to complain about the horns.
I really enjoy these posts

Thanks Charlie---you're right about CP 3084,I would have waited all day to see that locomotive---probably Canada's only heritage unit---here's a link http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/pictur ... 2/3084.jpg.
I guess one of the crewmen from the other locomotives must have spotted me this afternoon while I was waiting and came over to tell me they would be moving the GP9 switchers shortly which I really appreciated as I was getting a bit frustrated and was thinking about leaving. The employees at Kinnear Yard seem friendly with the railfanners and even though they don't blow the horns, there's always a wave and smiles from the crews.I've heard there are some big changes planned for Kinnear---it will no longer be a stop for crew-changes and I suspect trains will continue to do some switching but the opportunities to get some photos will be reduced. Also CP is selling all their recently refurbished ex-Soo SD60's---I guess I was lucky to get some pictures before they're gone for good.

Don't forget the 2 CN e9's, though I wonder if they will ever get to Canada. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=71450
