I would post a photo...but then there would be photographic evidence and I would not have plausible deny ability...
If i were to post a photo it would be of a Rapido Duplex Sleeper...or would it...

Picked up from the post office not an hour ago:
To my delight, both are dcc ready with plugs - putting sound in them should be reasonably straight forward

Ahh yes I didn't think I'd be able to post anything here until I found what I really needed.... some pink (or blue) extruded Styrofoam sheets for starting my new layout. I've been to Home Depot and Lowe's, but all I could find was the white expanded insulation sheets. Well, perseverance and the Internet pays off, when I found that our local Home Depot had 128 sheets of 4 x 8 x 1" sheets in stock. Their site even told me that I could find it on aisle 23, bay 009. Yup, there was three sheets just kind of hidden on a shelf, and no one seemed to know where the rest were, but I only needed two. At least I can go back now when I need more later on.

Additional comments about the Rapido track:
It is so finely detail that it is fragile. I have put my thumb through a couple of sections and the rail may or may not pop back in. Also if you push down on a tie when it's on soft roadbed.
Did I say it comes with 4 rail joiners per section? I can't find plastic ones; Peco code 70 are a bit tight.

Definitely expanding my Express train services....
I have finally picked up the remaining Metroliner cars for my second trainset in the Penn Central scheme, though I'm hoping to acquire a few more to get a 6 car PC set as well as to model a few of the odd-balls (Phase II painted 868, Possibly 820 if I can get the "billboard" Amtrak face decal). This snack bar coach will be numbered 860, after the unit that is preserved at Strasburg.
I Also recently acquired a Tropicana reefer for my Orange Juice Train, and (unpictured) an additional 89' flatcar and trailers for my Trailvan train.

I got from Amazone the digital eBook version of
Chronicles of a Detroit Railfan Volume 5 (English Edition) Byron Babbish
It deals with the Detroit Transit Railway.
http://www.amazon.de/Chronicles-Detroit-...on+babbish
The line got abandoned in 1981, was finally operated by Conrail with an NW-2 and run through a lot of very old brick canyons. Very interesting reading (and photos) if you like old style urban switching in modern times (1970s - 1980s).
There are some more digital books from Byron Babbish dealing with the area around Detroit. The digital versions have a great price of 2.68 Euro in Germany and shipping time is 30 seconds only

Bought this Athearn GP-60 last Saturday at a local show.I actually bought it for parts but it is all there and it runs so I may back date to a GO-40-2 or a GP50.Paid a whole $25.00 for it.

Got a NIB PC C636 off ebay this morning for $110. I'll wait until it arrives and get the replacement trucks and fuel tank from Bowser and a Lok sound decoder.
