Kev: In O scale, N gauge works out to about 17" gauge. 15" is common for park model trains, so that's just about right. Z would be just under 12".
FiatFan: One of our club members had a series of floods as the 40-year old plumbing over his railway gave out. I think after the 3rd time he had the whole lot upgraded.
