I tried Wahl (and was part of that original thread in that other place) and for a while it did okay (or should I say 'fo a wahl', with a drawl).
Anyway, I think my problem was two or three fold. One, I was operating in a garage. Even in the wet NorthWest, it still gets dusty. Two, I was using steel track and it made alot of black gunk. Three, I didn't use a track wiper block (slung under a car).
Using the wiper block would have helped with the gunk issue, I'm sure, despite the steel track. I did notice improved contact, however, and would like to try it again in the future when I am in a new location.

I may not be a rivet counter, but I sure do like rivets!
