Sounds really exciting. I hate to tell you this, but our local hospital has really good food. You have a menu to order from, and about 30 minutes after you call in your order, it's brought to your room. I know, It's "hospital food", but it's decent hospital food. I guess they figure, a well fed patient is a happy patient and one that won't complain so much about how they treat you otherwise:

I wish the hospital cafeterias food was a dependable yardstick to judge by. The food in the hospital cafeteria in Leesville is quite good. The stuff the patients get can start food riots.

It wasn't always this way. Years ago, at this same hospital, you had to order your meal by a certain time and everyone was served when the trays all arrived. If you didn't get your order in on time, you had to wait for the next time to order. About the only thing on the tray that had a chance of being decent was the Jello. Someone with compassion was put in charge, and now you can order your meal anytime, an it's individually delivered by someone neatly dressed and wearing a hat and apron, and the worse thing on the plate is the Jello, (which is still good). Either they hired a real chef in the kitchen, or a great PR director, either way, it adds a bright spot to what is not otherwise a fun time.
