Did preventive maintenance on the truck today. Engine oil was a half quart down so topped it up. Coolant full. Transmission oil full. I discovered I have a little problem due to the trucks size. I can just reach the engine oil dipstick and pull it out. I can just touch the filler cap. At five foot eleven I'm not considered short. I can't climb up on the bumper like others do. Instead I used a concrete block to stand on. I also changed the license plate frames as the old ones were garbage and I changed out the lock gas caps. The old ones were on there about fifteen years and there's I don't know how many sets of keys floating around. Last but not least I modified the drink holder on the dash. The way it was a bottle could and would fall over forty-five degrees to either side. I put some redneck ingenuity to work. I got hold of a three inch PVC pipe coupling, cut part of the middle out of it, glued one part to bottom section of the holder and the other part to the top. Drinks don't tip very much now.
