My first Downtown Deco kit is assembled. I am quite happy with the result of my first kit. It is not as perfect as the models displayed in the advertisement photos but it is "good enough" (for me). The instructions supplied are very detailed and useful for the beginner. It is a clear recommendation to buy if you need a run down urban model for your layout.
Two recommendations:
- ensure the wall lays on a perfect flat desk if you work on the window/door openings. One ballast stone under the wall is sufficient to break it if you press with a chisel.
- use well diluted paint only. Better 10 layers of semi water than one layer of thick paint.
Need to do some more weathering and take care of the sidewalk.
