Good morning all, It is right around the freezing mark and trying hard to snow.
It has been another busy week, I don't know how I ever had time to work before I retired. I had to take #1 son in to Vancouver to B.C. Children's Hospital to get ear tubes put in his ears. He has always had issue's with them not draining and getting infected. We checked in at 1100HRS and were in the car heading home by 1300HRS. He was so gorked on the way home from being knocked out for half an hour, I was laughing all the way home. The funny thing is, he doesn't realize he is behaving abnormally.
The specialist said at the end of November he needed new tubes and booked him for the following week. My son didn't want to miss any school and asked if they could do it over Christmas break so they booked him in on December 28th. They are so accommodating, it makes life flow so much easier. I always tell people that the Government will probably be taking a contract out on the family as we are costing them a fortune for healthcare this year.
When he was doing his last TV shoot, one scene they were filming involved a camera on a large boom sweeping in from the heavens towards him and at the last moment two people would pull him out of the way before he got hit with it. He realized at that point his hearing was not up to snuff and thought he should do something about it as safety was coming into play.
We are having a few friends drop by tonight for potluck dinner and we will probably watch a movie or two, or sit and play our guitars and sing. Sometimes we all have a hard time making it to midnight and the party is over before then, it sucks getting old. We will see what happens tonight.
Wishing all, the best for the new year. It may be that I am just getting older, but I am feeling a little more apprehensive than usual about 2017.
