Being originally from New Jersey, I grew up loving fresh tomatoes. Not the kind you find in grocery stores now where they are gassed to make green ones red, but those red ripe ones fresh out of the garden. I remember when I was very young, my aunt had just picked a bunch of tomatoes out of her garden and said, "Don't touch those tomatoes". Well, as most conniving hungry kids would do, I found a workaround. I knelt down with my hands behind my back and proceeded to eat one of those precious tomatoes without actually "touching" any....
