I cheated myself and define a road to narrow to have street and railroad signs (made that mistake some years ago already).
Did it again with a road made of two 3cm/1,2“ soft shoulders and 8cm/3.2“ pavement. Surplus foam board with that given wide made it easier to push the rear tracks back into the correct position and it is still a quite narrow road .....
