Wow, I haven't posted in this thread in over a year.
I suppose other than a bunch of locomotive/car projects, I haven't done much on my layout.
The big news is....
I'M MOVING OUT!
I've got a nice new basement that I can build a layout in. The only question is what and how! I'm leaning towards modeling Linden and Stiles Street Yard on the Northeast Corridor. This way, I can have the switching action and the fast-paced mainline operation of the Corridor. There was a major GM assembly plant there, an Merck is still there today. Lots of traffic going on their in the late 1970s. I will probably have a better idea of space when I move in (i've only got basic dimensions) but its never too early to start planning.
My main goal is to come up with something with a simple track plan under the catenary to make wiring it easier. Will have to see how it goes.
Its still very exciting!
