Val...I'm with Will...had to look twice to see if it was a model...or the "real" thing... 
Like most everyone...I've dabbled in plastic models....and still have a couple yet to build: the Columbia space shuttle and an F104 Starfighter (the flying casket variety...). I also built a gorgeous model of the Saturn V/Apollo rocket (about 3 feet tall), but sold it to a modeling friend...He just kept upping the price 'till I gave in.....
I modeled extensively in R/C aircraft for about 20 years, but gave it up....too much of an investment to plow furroughs in the field. I do have a brand new RC set just waiting for me to build a plane for it, so it's not totally out of my blood....
I attribute all these addictions to my ol' man...He was working on a Z-scale layout when he said his last good bye. I still have all his equipment, both HO and Z...
