Storm update - 12:40 PM
I ran the snow blower and it surprisingly was able to deal with the rather wet snow/slush that has fallen so far. I think I timed it right as the storm has switched over to all snow. I still hear occasional rumble of thunder and the power did drop out for about 15 seconds and is still flickering intermittently. Winds still near 40 mph with lots of blowing snow. Visibility in town is down to about a block. I can't imagine what it's like out of town. I just looked at a satellite loop and southern Iowa has clear skies!
