Happy First Saturday of September, gang.
College football is well underway now and I hope your favorite team is successful (except when it plays mine).
Another cool morning underway in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Currently it's 44 headed for maybe 64 under clear skies. Upper 30s possible for tomorrow morning. Then 80s by next week.
Yesterday was very relaxing. Stop at the Honda dealer to investigate some new cars. Seems you can only get factory XM radio on their top of the line cars and even then not with a hybrid power train. Looks like I'll be taking my current car in for a 100,000 mile checkup soon. I'll also be springing for some new tires. After that was a stop at the shoe store. Found some new shoes and put the old ones in the box. When I went to the cashier she diligently opened the box and declared "Wow! I didn't think we carried these." Very nice (and cute) young lady.
It's Saturday so that means laundry. I'll also be heading to the cemetery later to clean up the grave site for my wife and son. In the midst of all that I'll be installing more quarter round and putting the living room back in order. I got new curtains ordered last night and most should be here by the end of next week.
