Good evening folks
It has been some time since I posted in detail. The wife and I went on our first European vacation. We went on cruise from Rome to the Greek Islands of Santorini and Mykonos. We visited the ruins of Ephesus in Turkey. We stopped in Naples and saw Pompeii and Herculaneum. We spent two days before and after the cruise in Rome. We saw the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Forum, and the Colosseum. We enjoyed ourselves.
However, not long after we got home, we both came down with a really nasty cold. Prior to leaving we both got our flu and covid shots. We left for vacation on September 17 and returned October 1 and basically have been sick for the past two weeks. We are guessing we caught something on the plane.
Tonight is the first time I have actually felt like sitting down and writing some kind of a post.
To make things even better in the middle of doing our vacation laundry our dyer died. The new one will arrive on Friday. In the meantime, I need to straighten up the base as I have model train stuff everywhere. I need to get things put away and, in some cases, moved out of the way. I have run some trains in the last couple of days.
