Jumping to DCC and Need Help with Everything
#12
You're right, Charlie. There are times when I'll pull a loco out of a consist and forget to clear the consist and redo it without the extracted loco, but when that happens, I can do a "Read" on my program track with the removed loco and the loco address will come up as the old consist address, which can be fixed with either clearing that consist or doing what you said - CV19 to a value of "0".

For the 4 locos that had lost their minds, when I "read" (past tense) each locomotive, no address came up - only "ERR". By restoring to the factory settings, the default address of "0003" was established and I could readdress at that point. I hadn't encountered this before, but finding a way out was something I thought was worthwhile to be shared.
