Back from down south. Took I-70, hooked 340 west through Harper's Ferry, caught I-81 down to I-77 and down to Charlotte. Here's the amazing thing - snow-covered fields all the way from northeastern Maryland to Charlotte. Shows the extent of the last two storm systems on a major portion of the country. Some melting down south, but there's still a good snow/ice pack on my front yard and that snow fell more than 2 weeks ago and my front yard faces southeast.
Speaking of the front yard, after I got home from work today I got in the attic and got a snow tube out. My 2-year-old granddaughter will be here tomorrow for a full week and I'm sure PopPop's going to be busy wearing her out in the snow.
Cleaned up my office for her arrival and got all of the trains running well - I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of that this week. Braced for impact...
