Greetings, gang.
It's a cloudy and humid 76 this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. High around 90 again with a 30% chance of rain. Much cooler tomorrow with a high only in the upper 70s.
Yesterday was another in a string of productive days. The cake and cookies are ordered for Saturday. I made arrangements for my daughters to see the ballroom on the top floor of the historic home where my party will be held. I ran the track cleaning car for a half hour without derailments. The horseshoe game for the kids arrived. Got some cash for the weekend to cover emergencies. And lots of other little tasks completed.
This morning I plan to get out the Hotshot Freight for additional testing on the Backyard & Southern. Continued house cleaning will also occur. I was a little disappointed though. A couple of years ago one of my nieces and her family stopped for the night. I put her two boys on a queen size air mattress that my wife and I had used for several years. In the morning the boys were sleeping on a flat plastic bag. Pitched it and bought a new one which I tested. Seemed to work fine. Put it away. Got it out Monday to test it. Flat yesterday morning. Calls to daughter and granddaughter resolved the issue. Two queen size mattress are on the way.
