Happy 4th of July, America.
Hazy, humid, and 69 degrees in the remote reaches of the 29th state. Upper 80s today and tomorrow then cooling down to the low to mid 80s.
I recently ordered new checks for the checkbook. Yesterday 3 of the 4 packages arrived. The package missing is the one containing the next sequence of checks. I'm down to my last 2 checks so I hope the 4th package arrives on Monday. Had some light sprinkles Thursday night into Friday morning with a total of just a shade over 4 inches in my rain gauge yesterday. That's on top of the rain from Wednesday which resulted in the baseball game being cancelled after only 2 and a half innings. Seems home plate was under water and difficult to differentiate between balls and strikes.
It's Saturday so that means laundry and since it's the first Saturday of the month it's time for cleaning around my wife's and son's grave sites. Since the city took over the cemetery I will admit the condition is much improved.
