Greetings, gang.
86 under partly cloudy and hazy skies this morning. Supposed to hit the low 90s for the next several days. With the tree taken down in the back yard the thermometer back there is pretty much useless in the daytime. Right now it says 102. Only thing it tells me is that I'm not going to be working in the back yard today.
3919.4 miles of spectacular scenery. The eastern part of Yellowstone was a very easy drive but the western part was a nightmare. That's where all the scenic stuff - waterfalls, geysers, boiling mud. etc. - is located. The crowds are quite large and my sympathy goes out to the park rangers trying to keep things under control.
There were several stretches of road where the speed limit was higher than I thought it should be. Driving through canyons, along rivers, or through forests on very twisty roads was a little nerve-wracking. I would frequently pull over to allow traffic behind me to go through. Coming home was interstate highways all the way. FYI Portland, OR traffic is an absolute nightmare.
All stay safe.
