The paint has dried and the decoder is installed and tested with the exception of the lights. There is only the front and rear light that I will be installing. I got the LEDs wired to the resistor and tested them and now I will have to put them in the body and make room for the current keeper. I think there is room over top of the front end drive shaft.
I have been using the UV activated epoxy to keep wires out of the way and I have used it to secure a few decoders. It works well but the drawback i it has to have UV light to cure it so if you can't get the light on the glue it won't cure. It cures clear but I would not use it where a joint is visible.
Foy years I have been using lacquer thinner for polystyrene sheeting and model buildings but the last I bought does not seem to dissolve the plastic like it used to. Checking on google AI recommends MEK so I will try that.
