The Hobo Camp Fire Is going well #X.. Stop In!!!
Good evening folks,

Late posting again. After a 10-hour  workday starting at 6 AM I crashed when I got home for a couple of hours.

Saturday my wife and I went out running some errands. We made it to the pharmacy and grocery store. We also dropped off our mail in ballots at one the county’s drop off boxes. Sunday with the rain we stayed in all day. Cleaned out the refrigerator freezer. I could not believe some of the items we found. We did some other cleaning but not too much. Of course there was a little laundry thrown in.

I had a decent modeling weekend. I ran a couple of Lehigh Valley FA1 and FB1 set pulling a 50-car reefer train. I then broke it down and began breaking in a new Amtrak SW1 from Walther’s Mainline. Things went well through the break in run. I then added a couple of cars and within 20 minutes the locomotive was dead and I was getting an overload indicator on the power pack. I have no clue what happen. I am now trying to contact Walther’s as the loco is only 5 months old and this was the first time it ran. Second locomotive going back to the manufacturer in the past two weeks.

On Sunday I pulled out two Amtrak F40PHC locomotives. Since I don’t remember breaking them in I ran them through the paces. Both survived. I added numbers to a couple of Amfleet 1 Club Dinettes. The cars are lighted which I normally stay away from. Not sure how I bought them. The wheels barely move on them and because they are literally being dragged they are constantly derailing. I did end the night with the F40’s pulling some cars around the layout.

I hope everybody has a good evening.
