Greetings, gang.
46 under clear skies this morning. Clouds will be migrating eastward and covering the sun. Those clouds will also bring rain tonight and tomorrow. The forecasters have ordained a 100% chance of rain for tomorrow.
Yesterday morning I cleaned up a batch of leaves and hauled them away. After lunch I took a very short 7 mile bike ride. Then I stopped to visit a friend who has an office a block from my house. On the way back I saw a neighbor outside and stopped to visit with him. Then the most important stop of the afternoon. I walked over to another friend's house and got my payment for mowing her yard - a dozen chocolate chip cookies. Her husband is in a memory care facility and she has medical problems. A guy across the street was charging her $50 a pop. I was talking to another neighbor who mows commercially and he only charges $35 so the guy was gouging her pretty bad. Noting major (or minor) penciled in on the activity list for today other than maybe a trip to the gym.
Gas was down to $4.12 yesterday so I think I'll fill the car today for my trip this weekend. Wednesday is normally when the local gas stations - entirely independently of each other of course - raise the price for the week, typically anywhere from 20 to 50 cents a gallon. Of course when the price comes down again it a) only does so a few pennies at a time, b) never go back to as low as they were.
