Ok Kurt and Tom. I gave you guys a couple of days to get going.
Tonight, I worked on the platform and handicap ramp.
Heres a tip, I put all the interior details in one of those display cases that came with my HO scale NASCAR diecast. (I got quite a few) Other HO scale cars like you get from Wally World or Target are the same. This will keep all the details I'm going to use on this project together. They also come in handy when painting rolling stock, as you can put the trucks in them also. I also use them for my Kadee coupler kits, small screws, small drill bits..Heck..if it fits I use one of these.
Here, I'm just about done doing the handicap ramp. I'm using .040" Evergreen styrene for the ramp, with Evergreen .080" x .080" strip for supports and strength.
I added a stairway on the opposite side. I scavenged this off an old Walthers warehouse kit, that had fallen off the shelf a couple of times.
Fisnished putting together the handicap ramp. I will sand down all the rough spots, and paint it a concrete color. Just have to finish the other side of the pltaform first.
