Josh, if I can make a suggestion: Simpson brand (as in Simpson Strong Ties) makes a wall anchor style of mounting hardware for brackets and such that are essentially made for earthquake prone regions like Kaliphornia. You can find them at Home Depiot and Lowes. They are GREAT for hanging heavy items on the wall and I swear by them, as do a few structural engineer friends and builders. I would go with those and the beefiest brackets you can get.
