Russ, I was thinking the same thing! Catch 22... do it with the forethought and extra effort needed for easy troubleshooting, and then I'll never need to troubleshoot. 
Reckon in the years to come, I'll be wishing for something to go wrong with the wiring just so I can make use of my original efforts?
