Train Rooms, How Big is Yours?
#8
I picked 10X12 as it's closest to my 9X13. But that's only the train room. On the other side of the basement is my shop which is also about the same size. That's where everything gets done that doesn't need to be done on the layout (kit building, repairs, wheel cleaning, etc.).

Excess equipment (rolling stock, scenery supplies, kits, etc., are in another room. It's nice to have a four bedroom house with a full basement and a walk up attic. It's almost enough room for the two of us. 357
