Graffiti also varies from community to community. Vernon has a population of about 100 residents. The city is probably 98% commercial or industrial property. Typically most of the graffiti is created by local residents, so you will find less in Vernon because there really aren't very many local residents. In many of the industrial areas of L.A. there are also few residents, so less graffiti. In those areas with more residents, and mostly renters rather than home owners, or large gang populations, there is a lot more graffiti.
