Just yesterday joined a fellow from Luxembourg and starts asking about rail fan in LA. I did read frequently hints and tips where to go and where not. The RR staff is also very different. Some are helpful some try to protect their RR from everybody. 9/11 changed a lot for rail fans.
Russ, from this forum, lives in the LA area. I am sure he will be very helpful too.
